Writing as a need to understand is self-revelatory.
Witing as a ritual at dawn is therapeutic.
Writing as a discipline is rewarding.
Between the lines, at its rudimentary level, is a culmination of these broad facets of writing into a tangible body of work that lends itself very curiously to the pleasant and introspective passage of time. What started as a simple exercise in writing outgrew to a substantial compilation of interesting tidbits that seemed to beg for a structure, while at the same time, infused insight and thought to each other while they huddled close and multiplied within my stray journals.

When pictures from my sketchbooks were fused to these words, it created a new dimension where word and visual played off of each other, kinetically intensifying the poetry of their relationship and the nature of thought it evoked. Sometimes, a nuance in word would be accentuated by the visual or the visual might introduce an altogether new line of contemplation to the text. In other instances, by just being together, word and visual would balance the whole act.

This exciting symbiosis evolved to be Between the lines on the web. The original intent was to publish this compilation as a "black-book" of words and pictures in a simple and sparse format, embedded in black alluding to the mysterious and curiosity-evoking nature of its contents (The intent still holds true and has been anxiously awaiting the generosity of a publisher) True to this intent, I have attempted to retain the frugal black format, while making use of the navigational capabilities of the Internet to introduce an element of randomness to access pages from this collection.
